Simple and successful steps to get an incredible body

Admire: Your body is the most incredible thing in the world. Admire your body as often as you can - before and after your workout, after you shower and while dressing up.

Realize that you’re on the right track and appreciate yourself for taking the necessary steps to better sculpt your body. Be aware of your bodily movements and actions. Be happy with the way you are.

Eating Habits: Eat healthy, nutritious food at the right timings. Eating healthy food at the wrong time would result in it being converted to fat. Remember that dieting is not “starving”. It is all about eating the right food at the right time.

Eat to the point where you don’t feel heaviness in your stomach after your meal. If you feel heavy after a meal, it implies an extra pound of fat in your body. Eat sensibly and follow the food pyramid. Every individual requires a different type of diet. The ideal diet will vary depending on the individual’ lifestyle, gender, goal and his or her level of physical activity. Diet needs to be monitored regularly and changed depending on the results. It is recommended that you consult a qualified nutritionist before embarking on dietary modifications.

Sleep: Sleeping at the right time makes a world of difference to health and fitness. All of us tend to be stressed out, both physically and mentally, by the end of the day. Regardless of the source of stress, it can always be soothed by a good night’s sleep. It is important to sleep at the right time. The best time to sleep is before 11:00 pm and the ideal duration would be between 7 to 8 hours of undisturbed sleep.

Sleep aids internal processes such as detoxification of vital organs, tissue rebuilding and rejuvenation. We derive cosmic energy while sleeping, as it is regarded a form is mediation. Sleep helps regain the energy and vitality lost during the day.

Emotion Control: Practicing controlling your emotions will help you attain peace of mind. Keeping the mind stress free and keeping the emotional state as neutral as possible helps control unnecessary outbursts and hostility. Meditation is one of the ways to help manage your emotions.

How to Meditate: On awakening or before you sleep, sit comfortably on the floor in loose fitting clothing, close your eyes and relax. For each year of your age, mediate for a minute. For instance, if a person is 20 years old then he or she would have to meditate for about 20 minutes. Although this is the ideal ratio, it would be easier to begin with 5 minutes and progress upward slowly.

Lifestyle and habits: Stopping habits abruptly may lead to cravings and relapse. Don’t stop habits such as drinking, smoking, wrong dietary habits abruptly. Adopt gradual changes and you will break the cycle eventually.

Exercise: The first exercise in your day is being active. The next stage would be your workout in the gym. Exercise is all about how effectively you use your body. Incorporate muscular strength and endurance training, cardio vascular training, core conditioning, balance and flexibility training, regardless of what the ultimate goal may be. Being involved in about 30 to 40 minutes of non vigorous exercise a day, for 4-5 days in a week would help you achieve great results.

The proportion of these 5 components would differ depending on individual needs and fitness level. A qualified personal trainer can help you with regard to your specific individual needs.
